Patrick Lisi, McGee Stein, & Zak Taylor: A 20 Year Story.
McGee Stein, one of the co-founders of The Village Company, began his career framing homes on the enchanting Kiawah Island. It was there that he discovered his love for the craft and honed his skills while working in the prestigious “South of Broad” area of downtown. His expertise flourished as he took on the role of project manager in the historic “Old Village” and on the captivating Sullivans Island. McGee’s journey from a carpenter to a master craftsman has shaped his unwavering dedication to delivering exceptional results.
Partnering with McGee is Patrick Lisi, a fourth-generation, carpentry-based craftsman and experienced project manager. Patrick has dedicated his career to running a small, high-end construction company, specializing in historic restorations and custom new homes. With a meticulous eye for detail and deep respect for the region’s architectural legacy, Patrick has left his mark on the charming Old Village of Mt. Pleasant and the captivating Sullivans Island. His projects not only reflect his passion for his craft but also forge lifelong friendships with the families he serves.

Joining the team is long-time friend of McGee and Patrick, Zak Taylor. Since meeting 12 years ago, Zak has embarked in a career in the building industry, working with some of the top premier material suppliers around. Since 2017, Zak has garnered an array of field experience, starting with his time as a project manager on Kiawah Island. While his product knowledge and advanced understanding of building science speaks volumes, Zak has made himself a remarkable member within the building community with his dynamic leadership traits. Now, Zak has stepped into a partnership role here at The Village Company, where his exceptional abilities as a custom home builder help strengthen the historic restoration and renovation experience held by McGee and Pat. His versatile background makes him a strong asset for the team, allowing The Village Company to handle anything within the industry.
